Justice for Nirbhaya
Death of Justice in INDIA, a black Friday for INDIANS today. Crime has won as always in this outdated justice system of ours. One of the convicts of the December 16, 2012 gang rape will walk free on December 20 just because he was a juvenile on the day he committed this heinous crime. We all walk with candles when a crime like this occurs but that does nothing. People show their outrage and then they forget about it in a few days. nothing changes. the mindset still persists. Girls are still blamed for everything when its the opposite in most cases. Politicians make stupid statements and so do the people involved. In this great country of ours, its the victims and their families who are shamed for things that happen to them. we need to change this mindset of ours. Thousands of rapes occur everyday in INDIA and this conviction will only make the criminals more confident that they can get away with crimes easily. if you let this person out today chances are that he will commit some other crime some day and it will only be because of our law system. spending 3 years in the jail is not enough. He is someone who should be confined, should be behind bars and should be hanged for what he did. he must pay for his crimes.
I sometimes wonder if only the rich deserve justice, had she been rich would things be different? I think it would. In this law system of ours killing a cow can get you minimum 5 years of imprisonment, what about killing a Human? " Is andhe kanoon ko aankhon ki zarurat hai.. "
I hope and I pray that Nirbhaya gets justice, I wish the victims of these crimes get justice and I hope things change..
Rest in Peace Nirbhaya.
